How to clone a disk

Disk cloning is the process of copying the contents of an entire disk to another disk, including the operating system and all your settings. Here are a few ways to do it.


Most often, you use cloning when you want to upgrade your computer and switch from HDD to SSD. Either you install the system from scratch, which has the disadvantage that you have to first back up all data, reinstall the OS and all applications, find passwords and perform all operating system settings again.

Another option to transfer data from one disk to another is cloning software, but here we recommend choosing carefully. In either case, you can be sure that it will take you some time.
