iPhone Duo: Apple Unveils Its First Foldable iPhone

At its September keynote, Apple introduced its latest generation of devices, led by the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. The Apple Watch and AirPods also received updates, but the biggest attention was reserved for the iPhone Duo – Apple's first foldable iPhone.

One iPhone, Two Displays

When folded, the iPhone Duo features a 5.4-inch outer display and works much like a conventional iPhone. Open it up and it transforms into a compact tablet with a 7.6-inch screen – the largest display ever used in an iPhone.
The larger screen opens up new ways to work and enjoy content. Two apps can be used side by side – for example, Notes and Mail or a video and chat – with content easily moved between them. The foldable design also allows the phone to be used in different positions depending on what you are doing.

Apple has also announced support for the Apple Pencil (USB-C), which is expected to arrive later this year. This could turn the iPhone Duo into a compact digital notebook or drawing pad. Apple is clearly targeting one of the areas where foldable phones make the most sense: bridging the gap between a smartphone and a tablet.

Inside, the iPhone Duo is powered by the A20 Pro chip and runs the new iOS 27, which Apple has adapted to take advantage of the larger foldable display. The camera system has also received an upgrade.

What About Accessories?

The iPhone Duo represents one of the biggest design changes in iPhone history, and we are curious to see how it performs in everyday use. We are also looking forward to testing it with our products.

Whether you choose the classic iPhone 18 Pro or the new foldable iPhone Duo, a reliable USB-C charger for your iPhone will come in handy. For Apple devices, suitable options include the AXAGON ACU-PQ67D, AXAGON ACU-DPW67, or the new AXAGON ACU-PQ100, which will be available in the coming days.
