Gigabit Ethernet connection via USB-A up to 1 Gbps

With the external USB network adapter AXAGON ADE-AM20, you can easily connect devices (notebook or computer) to the internet or local LAN network. Just plug it into the device’s USB-A port and connect the integrated CAT6 network cable with the RJ-45 connector directly into the network. Without an additional Ethernet cable, you get a stable wired connection with speeds up to 1 Gbps, all without installing drivers. Compared to Wi-Fi, a wired connection offers lower latency, more stable data transmission, and higher internet connection reliability. 

The adapter also supports advanced network features such as Wake-on-LAN, VLAN, Jumbo Frames, or precise PTP/gPTP time synchronization. It is ideal for working from home, video conferencing, fast backup to NAS, or gaming (e.g., Nintendo Switch with a wired connection). It is also suitable for situations where a notebook or other device does not have a LAN port or its port is damaged.

Direct network connection thanks to 2 m CAT6 cable

The F/UTP CAT6 network cable with a length of 2 meters allows convenient connection even to a more distant network outlet. You can easily plug the adapter directly without additional extension cables, whether on a desk, meeting room, or at home. The cable can be simply hidden in a cable duct and left permanently connected to the data outlet. For maximum flexibility,  it is also available in other lengths and USB-C cable variants.

Stable connection for NAS, data transfer, and online work

The adapter supports transfer speeds up to 1 Gbps (10/100/1000 Mbps) and can be used, for example, for backing up data to a network disk (NAS), transferring large files between devices, or connecting to corporate networks with higher data traffic. The wired connection additionally eliminates dropouts and signal fluctuations typical for Wi-Fi.

Wake-on-LAN, VLAN, Jumbo Frames, and PTP for advanced networks

The network card with ASIX AX88179B chip offers a range of advanced functions for home and corporate networks. Wake-on-LAN allows remote waking of a computer, VLAN (IEEE 802.1Q) is used to separate network traffic, and Jumbo Frames up to 9 kB can improve the efficiency of transferring large amounts of data, for example between a computer and NAS. Support for IEEE 802.1P enables prioritization of network traffic and PTP (IEEE 1588v2) and gPTP (IEEE 802.1AS) provide precise time synchronization of devices in the network. The IPv4/IPv6 Checksum Offload and TCP Large Send Offload technologies offload part of the network communication processing to the adapter, helping to reduce CPU load. It also features AUTO-MDIX, which automatically detects cable connection type.

The network adapter/cable supports Windows, macOS, Linux, iPadOS, iOS, and Android operating systems. Thanks to automatic installation, just connect the adapter and you can use it immediately without the need to install drivers. It is easy to use with desktop computers, notebooks, ultrabooks, tablets, or mobile phones that support wired Ethernet connection. It is also compatible with the Nintendo Switch gaming console, making it a simple way to ensure stable wired connection while gaming.
