Quickly and easily resolves the problem of connecting an older IDE disk or ATAPI drive via SATA interface to a PC.
Thanks to the bi-directional design, the adapter can be used also vice versa. For connecting a SATA device to the IDE interface on a PC.
The converter is purely hardware and so its installation is absolutely trivial without the need to install anything.
Intended for all SATA devices, 3.5" ATA 100/133 disks and 5.25" ATAPI CD/DVD drives.

DURABLE
DESIGN
Both the electronics and all adapter connectors are well protected by a durable plastic case.

DIRECT
CONNECTION
The compact adapter has a 40-pin IDE connector integrated directly in the body, and thus it is plugged directly into the IDE port on a PC, disk or drive.

IDE DISK
CONNECTION
Connect the yellow SATA connector of the adapter to the PC motherboard SATA controller and connect the power from the PC source to the 4-pin floppy connector.
Similarly, all standard optical ATAPI CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, CD-RW, combo and DVD-RW drives can be connected.

SATA DISK
CONNECTION
The opposite direction of the converter will arrange the SATA disk interconnection with the black SATA connector of the adapter using the included SATA cable.
For proper configuration, you need to set the SATA disk to Master / Slave / Cable Select using two mini switches under the yellow SATA connector.
The versatile two-way AXAGON RSI-X1 SATA <> IDE adapter easily connects either an older IDE/ATAPI device via SATA interface to a PC, or a new SATA device via IDE interface to a PC.
The converter supports all types of SATA I, SATA II and SATA III disks without capacity limitation as well as all IDE/ATAPI devices.
The compact reduction has a 40-pin IDE connector integrated directly in the body, and thus it is plugged directly into the IDE port on a disk or controller.
Both the electronics and all adapter connectors are well protected by a durable plastic case.
The converter is purely hardware and so its installation is absolutely trivial without the need to install anything. For burners, it may be necessary for the proper operation of the drive to set the SATA port in the BIOS for the IDE emulation.
